My flower nail design post is being repined like crazy the last few weeks on Pinterest. So I have decided to to do another nail design. The leopard nail design is very easy and looks great.
Here's what you need:
- base colour you want all your nails to be (I used Rimmel Long Lasting Pro in Steel Grey)
- white nail polish (I used Maybelline Color Show in Porcelain Party)
- black nail polish (I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black Out)
- tooth pick
- small piece of tin foil
- clear top coat
STEP 1
Apply 2 coats of your choice of nail polish
STEP 2
Take your white polish and with the brush put a few spots over the nail.
STEP 3
Take the black polish and put a blob of it on the tin foil. Dip your tooth pick in the polish and make outlines around the white spots. You want to make some like brackets and some like the letter C.
STEP 4
Use the tooth pick to add some small spots to any open areas on you nail.
STEP 5
Add a top coat to keep your nails from chipping

Flower Nail Design
Every time I get a pedicure I always pay the extra to get some sort of design on my big toes. Since I don't always have time to get a pedicure I figured out how to do it myself.
To get this flower this is what you need.
-2 different colour nail polishes
-dotting tool (larger of the set) to see where you can purchase them click here. If you don't have dotting tools click here to find out how to make your own out of household items
-tooth pick
-small piece of tin foil (I use this to put blobs of nail polish on it. You can use paper but I find
some of the polish absorbs into the paper.)
First take the colour you want your flower to be and put a blob of the polish on the tin foil. Dip the dotting tool in the polish and place four dots on your nail in a diamond shape shown in the picture below. You might need to dip it again to make all the dots. If it's not perfect it doesn't matter. Mine aren't.
Let it sit for a minute so it's a bit tacky. Take your toothpick and about half way in the center of your dot drag the toothpick down into the center of the diamond. Do that for every dot.
Next take your other colour polish and place a blob on the tin foil. Use the same dotting tool to place a dot in the center of your flower.
Now your done. Very easy only takes a couple minutes. When it's dry put a top coat on to finish it off. You can always add some smaller dots using a different dotting tool. Or use a nail art polish and add some lines like I did on the first picture on the top.
Thanks for reading. If you have any questions please comment below.

March Favorites 2013
Here are my favorites for this month.
GO GO SQUEEZE
A friend told me about these apple sauce packs at Costco. They have 16 packs in the box and cost just under $7. There are 2 flavours in the box. Apple and strawberry apple. The kids love them and they are good for on the go or school lunches. I also love how the ingredients for the regular apple one is just apples and water. Perfect to give to the baby.
Another friend told me about a teether they purchased at Walmart. The end of the teether vibrates when baby bites down on it. I bought it a while ago but I think it was around $8. The baby loves it, and it definitely soothes her sore gums.
LEGO FLASHLIGHT KEY CHAIN
My 2 year old son has become obsessed with Lego and so desperately wanted some Lego people . He doesn't put anything in his mouth but the people are small and I don't think it's a proper toy for him right now. While looking around in Chapter's for books I came across this Lego key chain. It's over double the size of a Lego figurine and it also has a flashlight on the bottom of both feet. You just hold down the tummy to make it work . It cost $11.99 . So now he's the happiest little boy ever to have his Lego people and a little light to take to bed.
DOTTING TOOLS
I love getting designs on my toes when I go for pedicures. But I figured I could probably do some of the work myself at home. I found these dotting tools on ebay.ca for $1.64 with free shipping. You can also get them on amazon.ca. They cost anywhere from $5.99 and up and then you have to pay for the shipping. I didn't mind waiting a few weeks to get them cheaper. Stay tuned for a post about using these tools!

Beauty Reviews 2
Here's a few items I use on a regular basis.
AVANTI ULTRA CERAMIC STRAIGHTENER
This straightener has 1" plates and heats up to 430 degrees. You can purchase it at Trade Secrets and I paid $79.99. It came with a 2 year warranty. It works just as well as a Chi except half the price. I have owned 2 Chi's and within a year of each of them stopped working. It actually gets hotter then a Chi. The original Chi only gets as hot as 356 degrees. So far this straightener has lasted longer then both of my chi's combined and I still haven't had any problems. If your looking for a great straightener I really recommend this one.
L'OREAL TRUE MATCH SUPER BLENDABLE CRAYON CONCEALER
This concealer crayon is great for cover blemishes and dark under eye circles. With 3 kids under 5 I often have bags under my eyes lol. It's a thick crayon so if you need to apply a lot it's easy or if you only need a little bit you can use the tip. You just have to twist the bottom so there's no need for a sharpener. I bought it at Walmart for around $8 The colour I use is Fair W1-2-3
QUO INSTANT ARTIST
This line of nail polish is great for making designs on your nails. It has a thin brush that allows you to make thick or thin lines depending on how much polish you have on the brush. I love that I can do my own designs on my fingers or toes instead of having to pay for it at a nail salon. I purchased this at Shoppers for $4. Below is an example of how you can make thin or thick lines with the brush. This colour is Neon Pink.
COVERGIRL LASHBLAST 24HR MASCARA
I love all of lashblast mascaras from Covergirl. This mascara is waterproof and has really long wear. It gives your eyelashes lots of volume. I have been buying this brand for over a year now and used the regular lashblast (orange tube) for about 3 years before that. No matter how many mascaras I've tried ( I've tried many) for length I always go back to these ones. The colour I use is Very Black. I purchased it at Shopper for $12.99.

Happy Valentine's Day! Heart nail design and heart muffins!
Valentine's Day isn't something my husband and I celebrate. But we love to try and make it fun for the kids. Yesterday I made some heart shaped muffins so they could have for breakfast to get them in the Valentine's Day spirit. I picked up some silicone heart shaped muffin molds at the dollar store and because I didn't have time to make them from scratch I used some MacMillans muffin batter.
If you haven't heard of MacMillans they have a great selection of muffin and cookie batters along with frozen pizzas, cheesecakes, fruit and vegetables and tons of other products. If you would like to know more about MacMillans click here. The thing I love about it is I can take it out of the freezer the night before and after I use it I can put it back in the freezer after I use what I need. The muffin batter will keep in the fridge up to 3 weeks or in the freezer up to 6 months and any unused portions can be refrozen.
Here is what they looked like after baking. I'm so glad I bought these molds. I think they look so cute!
